For years, drivers traveling the old road after dark have reported the same thing: two red eyes watching from somewhere beyond the shoulder, followed by the unmistakable outline of something tall and winged standing perfectly still among the pines.

Naturally, everyone assumed the worst.

Warnings were issued. Reports were filed. People stopped driving the road alone.

Then someone finally noticed something strange.

He always appears around the same time.

Monday through Friday.

Usually shortly before midnight.

And always facing toward the bridge.

The current working theory is significantly less alarming:

Mothman has a job.

Nobody knows where.

Nobody knows what he does.

Nobody knows why his commute apparently involves standing beside a rural highway staring directly into passing vehicles.

Residents are still advised not to approach him.

Not because he's dangerous.

He's late, and apparently he gets bitchy when he's late.

Candle Care

Trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch before each burn. For the first burn, allow the melted wax to reach the edges of the vessel to encourage an even burn and help prevent tunneling. Keep the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts and flammable materials. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep away from children and pets.
